In mid-august, I had the chance to take Matthew to a local children's park. Looking back, I think this day made the most difference in his comfort level with slides. He continues to be a pretty cautious kiddo, but after this little excursion he has become much more comfortable on playgrounds.
My mom, brother, and his family joined us on our adventure. Matthew had such fun playing with his cousin Jagger!

Matthew loved it when Uncle Dave bumped our end of the seesaw on the ground. I, on the other hand, was less enthused by the thuds.

This was Matthew and Jagger's favorite slide. Once they tried this roller slide, they didn't want to do anything else.
We had the joy of having Jagger's new baby sister, Chloe, (who was barely a week old at the time) join us all at the kiddie park. She is a beautiful, precious little girl and our newest neice!
But all to soon it was time to give our hugs and head home.
