Happy New Year to you!! It's January and here are a few snapshots from our world... Below you see Nathan's new favorite passtime - emptying the one cabinet that's "his."
I can't seem to resist taking pictures of my kids when they are sleeping. They are just so peaceful and so precious. Nathan continues to be a "blankie boy," and Matthew has a rest time each day with books. Some days he reads, some days he sleeps. He seems to be one who just goes until he drops. I often find him fast asleep, sitting up with book in hand.

Here are a few Sunday afternoon pics... reading books with Daddy and playing on the slides downstairs.
During our days at home, I often try to get the boys involved in "family chores." Whether it's helping me get the laundry basket that much closer to the washing machine, matching socks, cleaning floors, or emptying silverware - it's fun to see them getting involved and learning responsibility.
We so enjoy watching the wildlife in our backyard while we're sitting at the kitchen table. Most often we're watching squirrels, sometimes cats, and occassionally we see deer off in the fields. Recently, Matthew has gotten pretty good at spotting these little guys ... woodpeckers!
It's always a special day when it's Matthew's turn to be the leader at school. He loves the "spotlight." He enjoys reciting the daily information and bringing in show-and-tell treasures from home. Today was the 50th day, so each of the kids brought in a "project" made out of 50 items. Matthew made a bug out of his Trio blocks (with some assistance from mommy).
