Can you believe that it's been 4 years since we brought our first and very precious son home??!!
I remember so well how the night before Tim and I were in our hotel blinking wide-eyed at each other, excited and nervous, to meet our new son in the morning. Meanwhile Matthew spent his last night in his little crib at the Tokmok baby house. His very kind caretakers told us that he was up extra early the next morning because he must’ve known it would be a special day. What a day it was, what an adventure since, and what a precious miracle of God! I’m excited to see what God will do with this passionate, enthusiastic little guy that we all love so much!
A short note to Matthew.... From a 14 lb., 14 month old who could only roll over to a 2-wheel-bike-riding 5 year old, Matthew, you've come a long way, baby (in so many ways)!! We are so blessed that God brought us together; I hope you know how very special you are to us! God has a great plan for your life, and even before you were born He knew just who would be your forever family. We're so glad that He picked us; we love you so!!
It was especially wonderful to celebrate the occasion with our good friends the Stahnke's (who also adopted a son from Kyrgyzstan). We enjoyed Kyrgyz food, watching Matthew's adoption video, and a few small gifts to remember this day and help make it special for Matthew.

Thanks so much for having us over to celebrate this moment with you and your family. It means a lot to me that Andrew and Matthew have each other to spend this special time with!
